Ritselaarroute(Ribbon route)

The Ritselaarroute starts in the village centre of Westmaas, near windlust mill. From the village you walk over dikes and through the polder Munnikenland. This is one of the oldest polders (1439) of the Hoeksche Waard. The route is about paved and unpaved paths. During the walk through the polder you will see the Binnendijkte Maas, dike building and the farmland.This part of the Hoeksche Waard still really breathes the atmosphere of peace and space. You empty your head in nature and have energy again for everyday life.

Hardened and unpaved. Under certain weather conditions, waterproof shoes or boots are recommended.

On part of the route there are no dog...

No dogs are allowed on part of the route.If you want to walk with a dog, walk not from 83 to 82, but from 83 to 13. In high season, dogs are not allowed on the beach Westmaas. Then walk straight on along the road instead of towards the beach.
