De polder in de Hoeksche Waard(The polder in the Hoeksche Waard)

This route takes you from the starting point in Dordrecht through the polder landscape with unprecedented views, winding creeks and winding dikes. This is a nice e-bike route.

.The Hoeksche Waard ==History==Sint Elisabeth's flood of 1421 flooded the area. This flood changed the watercourses in the area dramatically. Most dikes in the landscape were built between 1538 and 1653. On the way you cycle along Landzicht, the rest of a mill. Step off your bike to see the remains of the mill.That's definitely worth it. In Westmaas you will find windlust mill. This round stone mill from 1853 grinded grain for almost a hundred years.
