This trail takes you through two special areas in the Hoeksche Waard. First you walk through the medieval Saint Anthonypolder. From the Polderdijk you can see willows, grasslands and the rippling water of the Inner Dike Maas, a former river arm.The St Anthonypolder is the only polder in the Hoeksche Waard which did not flood during the notorious Saint Elizabeth's flood of 1421. You also see the Antony Mill, a polder mill from 1842. There is De Hoop, a wheat mill from 1822. From junction 57 you walk through the Old Land of Strijen. This nature reserve consists of grasslands and fields. It's an oasis of peace, you can spot birds there.
