In 1492 Gerard Numan of Emperor Maximilian of Austria received 1,100 hectares of swallows, grooves and reed pants southwest of the Old Land of Strijen.He was allowed to cover the area and also got the artisan rights about it. During World War II, the land was flooded and machinery and buildings were destroyed.But after the Second World War, Cromstrijen's embassy was one of the largest and most modern farms in the Netherlands.At the place where the Ambachtsheerenlaan passes to the Toursteepoldersekade stood until 2020 the tractor station, where the large material, among which the tractors were stored.
