A screw mill is made up of a pyramid-shaped undertower and a rotatable upper house. Thanks to the tail, this mill can rotate in any direction. This mill keeps the water level of the polder in order. Most of the windmills are a watermill, very sometimes it is a cornmill.
The East Mill has a scoop. Other water mills sometimes have a jack. The whole family lived in the mill.Convenient because the miller always had to be ready to grind, at high tide in the polder. Apart from the windmill you see the windmills in the park on the Old Meuse. And on the other side of the Binnenmaas you see a Bosmanmolent.
