This is where corn has been ground since 1836. Watch this! The wicks shave short on the ground, which is why there's a hedge and a fence so you don't get hit. Typical ground sailor. Inside it feels like it's the 19th century. The miller himself collected the wheat with horse and chariot from farmers and bakers. The flour is now in small paper bags instead of large jute bags. At home you can enjoy the trip.Cross the road to see the orchard at the bottom of the dike. Further on begins hiking trail Plan Argus moth.
.Corn Mill De Lelie is one of ten mills owned by the Windmills Foundation Hoeksche Waard.
