Museum "Het Land van Strijen"(Museum "The Land of Strijen")

In Strijen is the museum The Land of Strijen. This volunteer museum has a fully equipped village forge on the ground floor and is the only forge still in operation on the South Holland islands.On the 1st floor there is a spacious exhibition space. Here are several exhibitions on the past of the village, as well as photo and art exhibitions.On the ground floor there is a built house from the 19th century which is decorated as a style room and kitchen.There is also an exhibition room where textiles from past times and children's toys are often displayed, all from their own collection.

.The Museum is part of the Ancient Association of the Land of Strijenorganisation of fully-kept day-bus arrangements for which there is a lot of interest every year. There is close cooperation with the three other museums in the Hoeksche Waard, Farm Museum-Rien Poortvliet museum and Museum Hoeksche Waard.
